Collage

...This collage of images of Jeremy Lin reflects perseverance very well. It represents quotation two, by Flavia Weedn, in that if your dream shatters into a million pieces, don't be afraid to pick one of them back up and keep on trying. Jeremy Lin is a prime present day example of this quote. He graduated Harvard University and got to the NBA. While he was there, he got cut by his first team during training camp, then he got released by his second team, and then he got traded by his third team to the New York Knicks. They gave Lin a chance at playing solid minutes for them and he would not disappoint, as he immediately turned into a star. This also relates to Larry Bird's story where scouts seemed to doubt him as a player because he was Caucasian, not African American. When they gave him a chance, he delivered every game and showed that he was going to be a superstar in the NBA. This also relates to the poem "See It Through", as Jeremy Lin's future in the NBA seemed very bleak but he persevered with his head up high and eventually got his chance to play...
