Quotation One

"Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it." Michael Jordan

...This quote represents perseverance extremely well. It states that obstacles may come across your path in whatever you do, but you just have to find a way to overcome them. Whether that be going though them, climbing them or working around them. Perseverance always involves an obstacle of some sort, you just have to find a way to overcome it and persevere. The person who wrote this quote, Michael Jordan, might have written this when he was close to retiring but still playing basketball professionally. This quote is significant to my theme of perseverance because it shows that many obstacles come across your path, no matter what you do, you just have to learn to adapt to those obstacles and find out how to overcome them. Whether it be climbing them, going through them or working around them. This relates to my flash fiction piece in that obstacles can come across your path, such as Kevin Williams tearing his ACL, you just have to overcome them. Kevin did this through extensive rehabilitation, training and the will to never give up...
